New drawing and editing commands were learned on this lesson, too. With it linear and normal lines could be drawn easier. With the help of these points we can fit the new objects to each other easily. Object snaps are important points of the drawn objects, for example endpoints, midpoints, quadrants and intersections. The new thing that we learned was the object snaps. On the second lesson we used the knowledge from the first lesson and drew some interesting figures. At the end of the first lesson we tried the object selecting possibilities selecting from left to right and vice versa. Our first drawings were squares with different point giving methods (Descartes, Polar, Absolute and Relative) using the Line command. Examples were shown by the lecturer, so we understood everything clearly.

After that we learned how to write commands. On the first lesson we became acquainted with the user interface of the software. During the course we got three homework to practice things at home and wrote two tests to prove our knowledge. Lessons were held by László Máté from Department of Machine and Product Design – Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

In this 6 lesson course we gained knowledge on the basics of using AutoCAD in two dimensions.

They haven’t learned about this software before so it was very useful for them. The attending student members, who are mostly studying electrical engineering, had the opportunity to improve their skills in a different scientific area. We organize software courses too, so in the 2015 fall semester we organized the AutoCAD course. The BUTE SBC always has internal courses to improve the member’s skills and complementing their academic studies.
